Frida's Paradox - The Inaugural Exhibition of Frida Kahlo's Original Works in China
Frida's Paradox - The Inaugural Exhibition of Frida Kahlo's Original Works in China

This poster centers on the face of Frida Kahlo, the iconic 20th-century Mexican artist, using deconstruction and reassembly to evoke the eternal paradox of concealment and revelation in her art. Kahlo’s visage becomes a visual labyrinth—interwoven lines branch like neural pathways, mirroring the duality of her work: pain and resilience, colonial legacy and indigenous pride, private anguish and public iconography. Each fracture and suture in the composition echoes her physical and psychological scars, while vibrant flashes of color assert the unbroken spirit beneath. The design collapses boundaries between wound and ornament, inviting viewers to confront Kahlo’s unresolved tensions—between body and canvas, solitude and fame, destruction and creation.
