“DEFINE” has become the core of this event, aiming to encourage designers to explore the unknown and redefine the possibilities of design. We believe that design is not just a tool to serve commercial purposes but also a joyful journey of experimentation. DEFINE DESIGN FESTIVAL 2024 invites designers to discover the overlooked “small roles” in daily life, to experience the “necessary” within the “unnecessary” (Find the Necessary in Unnecessary), and to draw creative inspiration from everyday insights.
The festival’s visual identity starts with reconstructing the letters of “DEFINE,” combining experimental and diverse design languages to showcase the deconstruction and reimagination of traditional forms. We aim to redefine DDF by moving away from the typical “competition” model, instead creating an open and inclusive space for dialogue. This allows creators to break free from commercial constraints and simply enjoy the process of creation.
