TING MAT MAT

In the past 400 years, Macao has been blending the Eastern and Western cultures. Since the anti-China riot in Myanmar in the 1970s, some Chinese in Myanmar have begun to settle in Macao, gradually developing their own communities, with living culture and food from Myanmar. TING MAT MAT was also established in Macao as a Myanmar restaurant with a history of more than 30 years. As the second generation of Myanmar overseas Chinese in Macao, the shopkeeper absorbed the unique local culture of Macao and naturally integrated into this Myanmar restaurant. The design team followed this wedge to reshape the brand of the restaurant.

During this period, the design team conducted in-depth research on Myanmar and Chinese characters, and explored the similarities and differences between the two cultures. Finally, the design team designed a brand visual design with Chinese and Myanmar as the main language, supplemented by English, rich in the cultural connotations of the two places. The visual system adopts the color matching full of Myanmar Chinese cultural characteristics, and the representative elements representing Myanmar are translated into fashionable illustrations. Through Macao as a catalyst for the inheritance and development of Myanmar's Chinese culture, TING MAT MAT continues its history, culture and heritage to the world through brand design.
